Our Story
Tristen "T.J." Walker, originally from near High Prairie, AB, grew up on the Walker family farm, where they ran a mixed cattle operation until the late 2000s before transitioning to grain farming. T.J. graduated from the Auctioneering College of Canada in July 2013 and began his career as an Auctioneer and Ringman at Full Circle Auctioneering and Consignments in High Prairie, where he worked until 2021. Over the past 11 years, T.J. has also sold for TCL Asset Group and Weaver Auctions.
In June 2023, T.J. and his wife Taylor launched Big Meadow Auction Services Ltd., offering a variety of Consignment and Farm sales annually. They are also proud to conduct several charity and fundraising auctions each year. In 2023 and 2024, T.J. and Taylor had the honour of conducting the Grande Prairie Stompede World Professional Chuckwagon Association Tap Auction and Gala in Grande Prairie, AB.
In February of 2024, T.J. was elected to the Board of Directors for the Alberta Auctioneers Association (AAA), marking a significant milestone in his career. His election to the Board underscores his commitment to advancing the industry and supporting fellow auctioneers across Alberta. In February of 2025, he was elected Vice President of the Association. T.J.'s leadership and vision are expected to play a key role in shaping the future of the AAA, as he works to foster growth, education, and collaboration within the auction community
T.J., Taylor, and their son Brantley now call Breton, AB home. In addition to his work in the auction industry, T.J. serves as the Parks and Recreation Supervisor for Brazeau County.
